We’re moving webhost to a more stable host as we’ve faced constant problems with our current host. During the movement phase, the forums will be down and at same stages it may not load at all. This is called domain propagation and this can llast between 12-24 hours, depending on your ISP. We’ve backed the forums up (with 2 different database backups this time) and we expect the move to be flawless. Please keep checking back for news as it happens.

10:20pm Forums and website backed up.

10:40pm DNS changed, we now play the waiting game (depends on your ISP as explained above)

11:28am Yesterday it appeared the NS had changed, now it appears they have not. This is a common issue and it means we play the waiting game. It seems the name servers are still in the process of changing…

2:05pm My ISP has not updated their DNS records (or is currently in the process of doing so, website loads for me sometimes) but in the time it has worked I’ve managed to set the forums up and restore our database. When your ISP updates their DNS records you’ll be able to access the forums. Move went without a hitch. This will be our last host move, no more downtime and moving around!

Move is complete.

It appears something has caused the forums to rollback to an earlier date. This ‘something’ is not something on our end, but is something to do with our host. They have been informed and are looking into it. I did back the forums up today as we do on the 1st of every month so no matter what the outcome, we’ll have the forums back to normal.

Edit: The cause was our host moving servers. Unfortunately, the back-up I made yesterday did not work. We were forced to use a backup from the 19th of last month. Sorry for any inconvenience. The forums are back.

It seems within 5 minutes of having the blog set up, we have a use already.

The forums appear to be down. Reasons are unknown at the stage, although our host did say we should expect some downtime for maintenance but that was for our game servers. I’m unsure if the web server was included in the maintenance, but I highly doubt it. More updates as they become available.

Update 1: Our host has confirmed that the server is in fact offline. ETA on return is unknown at this stage.

Update 2: And we’re back.
